Abstract

Reservoir geological modeling is significant to scientific reservoir evaluation, reservoir management and 3D-reservoir numerical simulation. Existing modeling methods and softwares can meet the need of 3D graphical vision of distribution of reservoir characters, in which elementary inter-well prediction can be done, but precision of the prediction is not enough to geological reality. Based on the current situation of existing modeling methods, the bottlenecks of current algorithm are analyzed and some prospects such as improving various modeling algorithms, enriching prototype, seismic data integration and constraining geological conceptions of modeling methods are presented in details.
