Abstract

The Mid-Jurassic Qubu carbonate core samples were collected from Well Qiang-D2 that lies in the South Qiangtang Depression of Tibetan plateau. The Qubu carbonate rock consists mainly of gray to dark-gray micrite, gray-brown grainy limestone containing grainy dolostone. Geochemical analysis shows that the Qubu rock varies in maturity from mature to high mature. Most of the rock are poor to good source rock with dominating Type-Ⅱorganic matter. The oil-source correlation displays that the asphalt diffused within Qubu dolostone and oily breccia cames from the Qubu limestone source rock. Besides, the Quemocuo dark-gray shale probably is another source rock supplied.
