Abstract

A great progress of petroleum exploration has been made and commercial oil flows have been obtained in upper Ordovician Lianglitage reef-shoal reservoir along the eastern part of Fault Belt-Ⅰin Tazhong area recent years, which indicates that Lianglitage Formation is of a great commercial value of petroleum exploration. Lianglitage Formation consists of marl member in the lower, grain limestone member in the middle and marl member in the upper. Based on observation of well cores and field crops,a geological model of Lianglitage reef-shoal reservoir is built. A seismic recognition model is set up according to logging characteristics and seismic reflection of the reef-shoal. The result of prediction to favorable areas of reef-shoal reservoir with the model has proved by drillings in recent years. It is suggested that this geologic-geophysical model is fitted with the practice and can be used to guide petroleum exploration in this area.
