Abstract

In order to ascertain the development stages of the Mesozoic thrust structures in the northern Jizhong Depression and the the influence of the thrust structures on the development of buried hill reservoirs in different periods, the deep buried internal fracture system (especially the thrust structure) was finely interpretated and the balanced sections were recovered by using the newly processed high-precision three-dimensional depth seismic data, drilling data and field outcrops data. It is revealed that at least two large-scale thrust structures developed in the northern part of Jizhong Depression in Mesozoic, that is, the near EW thrust structure formed during Indosinian period under the influence of the northward subduction of the Yangtze Plate, and the NE thrust structure formed in the early Yanshanian stage under the influence of NW subduction of the Paleo-Pacific plate in eastern China. Based on the data of drilling cores and well logging imaging, it is verified that the thrust structure has an important influence on the fracture development of carbonate deep buried hill reservoir and the occurrence of various karstification in Yangshuiwu buried hill.
