After quantitative selection and qualitative evaluation by experts of the Chinese Science Citation Database (CSCD), 1229 CSCD source journals in 2017-2018 have been published, including 201 English journals and 1028 Chinese journals published in China. The CSCD is divided into two parts: the core library and the extended library. There are 885 kinds of journal in core library and 344 kinds of journal in extended library. Marine origin petroleum geology has been selected into the CSCD expanded library since 2015, now it was selected into the CSCD core library.
