On May 18-19, 2023, the CNPC’s Science and Technology Management Department  commended the outstanding journals, outstanding chief editors, and outstanding editorial and publishing personnel who achieved outstanding results in the 2019-2022 work evaluation of the CNPC's science and technology journals in Chengdu. A total of 38 scientific and technological journals participated in this journal evaluation, with a total of 2 first prizes, 5 second prizes, and 8 third prizes awarded for excellent journals. Marine Origin Petroleum Geology won the second prize. Huang Geping and Dong Yong were respectively awarded the titles of "Excellent Editor in Chief" and "Excellent Editor and Publisher personnel " .
