Since the first issue in 2022, Marine Origin Petroleum Geology has introduced a long English abstract. After the introduction, the English abstract is more detailed than the Chinese abstract (300~500 characters), with a length of about 300~500 words, equivalent to 500~800 words of information in Chinese. At the same time, the Chinese papers in the journal references are indexed in English and listed in both Chinese and English. These measures are conducive for English readers to consult papers and pursue relevant references, and create conditions for strengthening the international communication ability of journals.
