In recent years, China has continuously made exploration breakthroughs and major discoveries in the marine oil and gas field, and has also made rich innovational achievements in marine oil and gas geological theory and exploration technology. The editorial department seized the opportunity to take multiple measures to expand high-quality manuscript sources, and the number and quality of manuscript sources, journal quality and academic influence have continued to improve. In order to better serve the scientific and technological innovation in the field of marine oil and gas geology, and better serve the readers and authors, the pages of the journal have increased from 96 pages to 112 pages per issue in 2022, and the annual number of articles after the expansion will increase to about 50. By the end of September 2022, the first three issues had been published and distributed as scheduled.
