The second Youth Editorial Board of Marine Origin Petroleum Geology is officially established

In order to continuously promote academic progress and technological innovation in the field of marine petroleum geology, and further enhance the quality and academic influence of the journal, the editorial department of Marine Origin Petroleum Geology initiated the recruitment process for the second Youth Editorial Board in November 2025. The recruitment was conducted through a combination of recommendation and self-nomination, and received positive responses from a large number of young scholars.

After qualification review and deliberation by the sponsor, the second Youth Editorial Board of Marine Origin Petroleum Geology has been officially established, with 93 young scholars appointed as members (see "About the Journal - Youth Editorial Board" for the list). The term of office for the current Youth Editorial Board will commence in March 2026 and extend until the next Youth Editorial Board is formed.

Young editorial board members will undertake the following responsibilities: contributing to and recommending high-quality manuscripts for the journal, writing or recommending at least one high-quality manuscript per year, and writing at least one manuscript as the first author during their term; assisting the editorial department in tracking the latest developments in the discipline; actively promoting and marketing the journal in academic exchanges, thereby enhancing its academic influence. At the same time, young editorial board members who submit or organize manuscripts will enjoy priority in acceptance and publication under the same conditions; those who make outstanding contributions to the development of the journal will be given priority in being selected for the next editorial board.

It is believed that with the joint efforts of the second-term young editorial board members, Marine Origin Petroleum Geology will continue to maintain its academic leadership position in the field of marine oil and gas, and make greater contributions to promoting the integrated development of oil and gas and new energy technologies.
